Here's the latest press release.

THS is trading at about $0.15 now and has been fairly volatile for the past few days. At these prices there is little downside risk but alot of upside potential.

Thunderwood Resources Inc. and Consolidated Abitibi
Resources Ltd. 1998 Diamond Drilling Program Commences on
the Lew Copper-Zinc-Gold Property in Manitoba

TORONTO, ONTARIO--Thunderwood Resources Inc. and Consolidated
Abitibi Resources Ltd. announce that a $675,000 exploration
program consisting of 4,000 meters of diamond drilling in twelve
holes, lithogeochemical sampling and downhole Pulse EM geophysical
surveys has commenced on the highly prospective Lew volcanogenic
copper-zinc-gold property which is located approximately 20
kilometers east of Flin Flon, Manitoba.

Two drills have been mobilized to the property. The drilling
program should be completed within one month with results
available by the end of February. Six holes will test the depth
extent of the copper-gold mineralization that occurs south of Leo
Lake, two holes will further evaluate the new gold mineralization
discovered on the property during the last drill program and four
holes will test various I.P. and EM geophysical conductors and
zones of hydrothermal alteration defined during 1997 that appear
prospective for the occurrence of volcanogenic copper-zinc-gold
mineralization.

Thunderwood and Abitibi also plan to undertake diamond drilling
programs for base metals on the Sherlynn and the Morgan Lake
properties in Manitoba and the Mystic Lake property in
Saskatchewan following completion of the Lew drill program. News
releases announcing the commencement of these programs will be
made when appropriate.
