Morning investor2, this is the first time I've dipped my toes in the preferred class pool and I'll admit, I don't know much about the preferred class of shares. Hence I figured an etf was the way to go for me at this point.
I want exposure for diversification purposes. I chose this one to start with because they were smaller and have no bank exposure which appears unusual for these etf's(they also had about the lowest expense ratio @.4). I may look to add another as well.
It bothers me having to much cash in my investment accounts, might as well keep it here at the local bank and support my local economy if I'm not going to invest it(g).
I'm a few years yet from retirement(and maybe just partial if my body can hold out), so I try and walk the line between growth and income.
