I think a valid point on discussing the same companies, although I don't have a problem with that. Most of
the time there isn't something new to add, other than when they raise the dividend, unless a merger, or acquisition.

I know there are some DGI purists here, and investing the way one wants should be a top priority. I also
know there are many here that invest/trade around an income core of their portfolios.

One of the best things I like about SI is that, once out there, you can't "take it back". I like real world, and
real world doesn't change. The longest running DGI portfolio I know of, had a goal of 10% on cost after ten
years. That has been scrubbed, as it might make 9% in eleven years. If income is the main goal, I find that
disappointing, just like the removal of the main goal without mention.

I've brought up a few good dividend growth stocks, CE, HRS, SNX, to name a few, but they garner no
discussion/comments, I suppose because their yields are not high enough.

I for one, like when others post what they are doing, especially if they post it at the time, not like so many I
see other places, that say I bought XX back on …. and I am up 100%.

I think there are many times when others won't post what they are doing because they figure it doesn't fit here.
I think that is a loss, because even though we all do different things, I think we are all on the same ship, and
if they are fishing off the other side, I can't see them. If it isn't for me, I just move on.

I don't think there has been an overabundance of said posts. I do think starting the post with OT is a good idea, but I have slipped there.

Most times when something "off topic" is posted it is either something just for fun, being added to a watch list,
or there is some conviction. I can garner which from the post. I don't think there is an overabundance of these posts.
