"There are those who are of the opinion that the likes of Facebook should be defined as "PUBLISHERS" which would make life very difficult for them should they then continue with their SELECTIVE DISCRIMINATION, most especially in the USA.
After all, the INTERNET, originally built by US Military, has Government Assets are on it, Taxpayer Funded Subsidies are involved with it, e.g. on TWITTER there's US Quake Alerts, National Weather Service, etc, etc,.
Insofar as the Government is utilizing ANY DEGREE OF TAXPAYER MONEY to PROVIDE THOSE PUBLIC SERVICES ON THOSE PLATFORMS, ANY ELIGIBLE AMERICAN CITIZEN has the CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT to have access to THOSE SERVICES on such a PLATFORM." |
