OT John, why don't you buy an simple A/B data switch instead of swapping printer cables to use the two printers? I can recommend the Belkin brand; they're about $18.95 (several yrs ago anyway). Mine has lasted for about 4 yrs so far. A client of mine has two printers also, and they bought the cheapest switch they could find, and it started giving intermittent bad connections -- only it took over a year to isolate the screwy printing problems back to the data switch! DK
