Think Manning, who went to jail. Think Assange, who is apparently indicted for helping Manning to break in, but not for publishing what Manning stole. Also, Reality Winner went to jail, but her publisher didn't. I think the legal way to be a whistleblower is to go to an authority, in this case an SF Supervisor or maybe a state pol.
