Shalom, I can see that you did some studies in this matter but I see things a little differently. You said that he will decieve the world into believing that he is Jesus. But Jesus said a kingdom divided against itself shall not stand. The devil hates the name of Jesus so he would not assume that title. "That man of sin" referred to by the Apostle Paul (2Thes. 3-8) is the same person referred to in other scriptures with other names such as "antichrist" in John's writings. The preposition anti indicates opposition and not in place of Christ Even him, whose coming is after the working Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders. Notice it doesn't say this is Satan but rather someone whoses coming is after the working of Satan. Remember also that those who are going to be decieved by him are those whom God has sent a strong delusion to that they might be damned because they received not the love of the truth that they might be saved.
