As far as the Tariff war with China. Very similar to the 1970's where there was 10% inflation for 10 years to correct the GDP / Debt ratio was out of whack due to the previous wars. Today it is out because of decades of financial mismanagement by previous administrations. Not even a country can forever spend more than it takes in. Trade must be reciprocal and balanced. If you pay for restaurant supplies and customers eat free, The business will probably collapse.
