Jimmy, I agree with you sometimes fewer emplyees means fewer computers.
Also with the pace of technological innovation as it is the heavy R&D
companies are developing better products cheaper everyday, competing
on price, quality, and manuf. costs. Meanwhile the public and cos.are
taking a wait & see attitude to get more for their buck. Someone might

say I'll wait for 6 mos. & get a pentium 150 or 1 yr. for the P7 chip.
Meanwhile they're missing out on what the home pc can offer now. Many
of the masses are probably in ignorant bliss infront of their TV's.

My point is I kinda wish some of the products would stabilize so the
masses can see & buy what is available. Of course having a job helps
in the ability to purchase one of these. And all the free time an
unemployed person has almost necessitates having one.

Perhaps the pc market will become segmented like the auto mkt. with
the equivalent of a VW bug(low end) being hooked to the Cable TV and
those who catch-on will want a mid-range model, finally getting some
people excited enough to buy a luxery model.

Just some food for thought! Que sera sera, whatever will be will be!
