my understanding is that if it is free gold that was captured by the fire assay, which I believe is likely, then it could be removed by heap leaching. However at an average grade of .04 the processing costs will run into several hundred dollars per ounce, probably $250 on the low side and possibly much higher. As a comparison the Doyon mine which Cambior just acquired from Barrick has a cost of $200 per ounce. At best you would have a fairly high cost mine.
