Steve, to be sure, that Wikipedia entry also has this counterbalancing argument:
This analysis gives a strong advantage to the smallest states, but ignores any extra influence that comes from larger states' ability to deliver their votes as a single bloc.
The only problem is that this statement can easily be missed by someone who has already decided that Wyoming is oh-so-influential in the Electoral College.

Their minds are much more influenced by flashy, colorful memes that give off a sense of "math" without providing any context other than #orangemanbad:
