As you may be aware a company called Osteotech (OSTE) went from nothing (7.00) to (30.00) last year. I know ... I missed it. In simply terms, they do bone glue. And make money. ANIK is going to help them ->Ossigel's. I don't know if Ossigel's thingie is a competitor to OSTE. If it is, ANIK could make some nice $ from this. Lastly, the bone glue side of life is so profitable wonder if BIOX ever gave it a peek. I posted the following on ANIK. =================================== Size of Canadian O/A market .... big chatelaine.com As you may know, Anik & BMY will hit the beaches in Canada right now. Yesterday. Who cares? BIOX probably does $1.7 mil.(Gross Sales) a year out of Canada. (my guess) That's about $5.2 million in Gross Sales to RPR who sells Synvisc in Canada. (i.e. $1.7 mil is 35% of $5.2 mil.) These $ are all in USA dollars. (Synvisc sells for $400C) Eduardo is happy (g) and the bottom line is BMY will undoubtly want to do well there. Sheer ass guess, but I bet they take 70% of the Canadian market by December. Reason:BMY will put up $$$ to have marketing success in Canada. I don't know if RPR or BIOX or RPR/BIOX will respond. $5.0 mil. doesn't mean much to RPR. Conversely, BMY has alot riding on OrthoVisc. Wish AHP would buy out RPR and get into Canada.
