Heywood, here is what you said in your original post:

Your "logic" breaks down at the "prior to 1985" phase.

It's possible that he could have acquired a few billion dollars in depreciable assets after 1985, and some of those could have had depreciation costs associated with them between the time of purchase and 1995.

For example, his acquisition of Trump Taj Mahal happened in 1988. That was worth $1.1B alone. A large portion of that value could have depreciated between then and 1995.

Either way, there are details that are obviously being missed by you and I. TopCat is right. If something like this is so obvious that a troll like yourself could have caught, the IRS would have already caught it by now.

Same with Maxine "Get in their faces" Waters, who would already be filing tax fraud charges by now.
