After receiving a record amount of snow
for May, Mammoth Mountain on Friday announced it would be extending its ski and snowboard season into August. With one week left in the month, Mammoth has already received 29 inches of snow, the most ever recorded in the month of May. The total beats the previous record of 28 inches, set in May 2015. The latest storm brought an additional 9 to 10 inches of snow to the snow, including another three inches in the past 24 hours.
