Why I want to build a computer I want a machine with open architecture so I can upgrade it. My latest P200 MMX is from a major box maker. The video card is integrated with the motherboard. If I add a new card I can not take out the old one and upgrade one of my other machines with the older card. The machine is loaded with lots of limited edition software. I prefer a clean load of full version software. I have my own collection of software so I don't need all of the free stuff. I probably won't save any money, most likely it will cost me more because I like quality components. I am sure I will learn a lot.
