One flaw in Amash's argument is that he doesn't make one. He's mad because his China scam might be coming to an end.

Mueller invented a thought crime but then admitted he couldn't find evidence to bring a charge even under his dubious legal theory.

POTUS can fire people all day long and it's perfectly legal. An FBI director investigating the President, regardless of the evidence, is a huge crime. That there was no evidence just adds to the severity of it.
