OK, Charlie, here it is:

Dell Computer INCOME STATEMENT ($Mil):
12mos(3) 1997 1996 1995 1994 1993
Revenues: 11002.0 7759.0 5296.0 3475.3 2873.2 2013.9
Net Income: 848.0 531.0 272.0 149.2 -35.9 101.6
EPS($): 2.32 1.39 .67 .43 -.14 .33

Sun Microsystem INCOME STATEMENT ($Mil):
12mos(2) 1997 1996 1995 1994 1993
Revenues: 9206.5 8598.3 7094.8 5901.9 4689.9 4308.6
Net Income: 718.5 762.4 476.4 355.8 195.8 156.7
EPS($): 1.86 1.96 1.21 .91 .51 .38

If you look at it, in terms of Net Income growth and EPS growth, SUNW
aren't even in DELL ballpark. I think DELL having a higher PE than SUNW is justifiable, base on the earning growth. Even with a PE of 40, DELL might be cheaper than SUNW with a PE of 23.
