I'd still consider Vancouver, B.C. as the most sensitive leading indicator... as much more directly tied to Chinese money flows... those changes more rapidly felt through the system... and a larger percentage of the total in the flows.

Trade itself is less sensitive an indicator than the direct flows of the profits from trade ? The profits will take a hit first... while trade increases a tad in the effort to balance out the losses with higher volumes at lower prices. We've seen that happening already, and I'd say we're already past the bubble on that, and slipping down the backside slope now...
