i'm serious about your system crashing, my friends had theirs crash, i've had a crash , even microsoft tech support advises against loading that active desktop, i talked to them , removing it will do no good cuz ie 4.0 intertwines with windows95, if you remove it you will also lose system files, if i were you i would load a backup and reinstall ie4.0 without the active desktop, just trying to help, crash will probably be inevitable!
