California was not a member of the Northern Union at that time (the State was split) and Lincoln had indicated that slavery would be allowed to continue in States that already had the institution in place. If slavery was the main economic reason, then what was there to fight over?

You are really like a 6th grader. Believing in the propaganda and the casus belli and not understanding the underlying true causes. You believe in the poster versions. The causes were exactly as I have stated. Slavery itself, while used to motivate the anti-slavery factions in the North to take on the fight was not the reason the fight was going to take place. There is a difference, but like I said before, you do not have the depth of understanding to discuss this with me. You only see the bubbles on the surface of the matter and do not look to see what has caused the bubbles. There is always a difference between an excuse and a real cause. As I said before, it is like you would believe the WMD issue was the real cause of the Iraq War.

I am arguing with someone who is not equipped to argue. Therefor, I am done. Forget it. Live in the dark. It likely makes you happy. I have no time for this nonsense.
