The only two companies with 5G chipsets ready are Qualcomm and Huawei..both have phones rolling out this summer (Qualcomm thru their OEM's)..Verizon has 5G networks running in about 6 cities now..been up for a couple of months. UK is rolling theirs out this week I think. You are really exaggerating the lead China has in 5G.

Besides..there aren't any 5G applications/end uses even ready now. It's going to take a year or two for developers to figure out what to do with that additional speed...and guess who will have the "killer apps"??..American companies (as usual)..because China..while technologically proficient..isn't really known for being very creative on the software side of things.
