Don regarding your peak on DJIA as being 7980, where did you get it. I get the previous peak as 8072.91 as the high of 1/5/98 and then 8209.56 as the high of 12/5/97. Are you using closing prices or highs for the peak.

I consider DJIA in a downtrend now with lower lows and lower highs. On a weekly basis one could draw 2 parallel lines connecting most of the highs and most of the lows since 8/8/97
