But the governments ultimate interests lies with the consumer, and not corporate competition. At the present, MSFT has significantly reduced the prices of browsers and servers while simultaneously increasing the functionality set. This is a good thing. When, and only when MSFT is directly responsible for harming the consumer (not when a small subset of techies percieve it may happen) will the government actually act in the consumers best interest to intervene.
