>> Look at it from my generation's point of view. We have to spend decades paying down school debt, something our parents didn't have to do.

Do you have any idea why that is? Here's the short explanation:

Government put a pile of cash before the universities -- trillions of dollars -- and said, "Here it is. It is all yours. All you have to do is raise tuition, fees, and book costs. And you can have it for YOUR university."

And the cost of education, suddenly, without explanation, climbed to consume all of that cash, which is now in the coffers of those universities. And you have your degrees in Lesbian Dance Theory.

And the final twist of the knife: When the ACA couldn't come up with the funding for Medicaid expansion, they nationalized the student loan program and doubled your interest rate. So, you'll take some multiple of the years to pay that loan off.

This, coming from a person who grew up in a middle income family, worked his way through a BS and two graduate programs plus other graduate course work, and NEVER HAD A SCHOOL LOAN. During all my grad school, I borrowed a total of $2,500. A signature loan from a hometown banker who had confidence in my ability.

I have not seen your posts. But I'll pay more attention.

The university system is dying, and the sooner, the better. The best way to make it happen is to kill student loans, but you can't because Medicaid depends on the interest revenue.

The best hope this nation had was an unfettered Trump. I still think he can come back, and AG Barr is playing a key role in that by hopefully, exposing the truth about sorry-assed Democrat party.
