EMALS Still Doesn't Work

The technology is "proven"... but it isn't meeting reliability goals. The design using the technology is horribly flawed... making it not reliable enough to be used in a combat weapons system.

The bigger problem... is in what that says about a Navy that can't design a ship for success in combat... not because of the technology... but because of the Navy's failures in "thinking".

Wasting time now focused on "fixing" what they have... when the problem is the need for a complete re-design that actually addresses the current designed in shortcomings. If it isn't more user friendly than existing systems... able to be repaired by the crew when it breaks in LESS time than the steam systems...then it is a giant step backwards.
