I said IBM excelled because NASA (and Social Security) or government needed computers. American industry didn't create the computer, government did.

Without government money a lot of our drugs wouldn't exist but only a few people make money from the drugs we create with our tax dollars (CEOs and investors). The system is rigged. Our money helps create wealth and only a tiny fraction of the population makes money from it.

Look at what we're doing with farming. We're creating millionaires using government subsidies.

Back to tech, the Internet changed everything. FANG stocks are all Internet companies. Even FAANG stocks are all Internet companies. Without streaming from Netflix (using the Internet) would Blockbuster still be around? Who knows.
