Some can't. 85% of people have IQs that are -1 standard deviation from the mean, or above. The other 15% cannot be even enlisted in the US military, because the MILITARY cannot find a job they can do. Now, you may think IQ 85 is pretty low, but you're talking about 15% of people in this country, or 5 million people, who cannot earn a living, no matter how badly they may want it.

Do you expect Walmart to pay these people minimum wage of $15 even though their labor is worth nowhere near that?

I have already pointed out to you that a $15 minimum wage puts them close to losing money, or perhaps CAUSES them to lose money. Should they do that? Of course not. If they did, it would be signing their own damned death warrant, given the investment they're having to make to compete with Amazon.

What about people who have IQ of 80 who would gladly take a job at Walmart doing anything they could get. For $5/hour? Should they not have the economic freedom to choose to take such a job?

This is a really stupid argument by any reasonable person's estimation. No person should be denied a job they want for a wage less than idiot leftists -- and politicians -- think they should be paid.

A more complex microeconomic argument is easy to make but I get the sense that may not be within your grasp.
