That's funny. President Clinton raised taxes in 1993. It was the gop who hates taxes and hated Bush for breaking his promise to not raise taxes (they really are a bunch of children). As you know that tax increase was hated by republicans. Gingrich said it would cause a recession and record deficits.

I saw a Lawrence O'Donnell interview with him in which he asked Gingrich to apologize to Clinton so I looked up the basics. The tax increase resulted in balanced budgets, the opposite of what Gingrich predicted but he still wanted credit. Amazing.
