The sequestration put in place automatic spending cuts and nearly destroyed the US economy. As you know the gop isn't using the sequestration now even though Trump has $1 trillion dollar deficits. Once again, this proves there isn't a single American left in the gop.

But to your point, the president put forward a plan that Boehner approved of that would reduce the deficit by $4 trillion. The House refused to even vote on the plan or offer a substitute. UnAmerican assholes tend to act like unAmerican assholes.
