Nothing wrong with a small waiting period when it is not life threatening. It allows for those more in need to access the doctors time. That is the basis of social medicine. Some die while waiting that is a fact. The money saved by delaying treatment helps to keep social medical funded. Socialism and it's policies and programs is like everything else on earth. Subject to Newtons law. For every action there is an equal reaction somewhere. For every treatment delayed someone else fits into the time slot.

Your not broke, If you do not wish to serve the waiting period like everyone else in Canada. Just call the below link. Many US trained doctors, Great reputation class facility. Your knee operation can probably be done within 2 weeks after contact. Cost I would suggest probably less than $10000 A couple of years ago Per hip joint was if I remember right $7500 A friend of mine from Nelson BC, had both hips done in March 2017. One on the 2nd and the other 3 weeks later. Still doing absolutely great.

So for a few grand why suffer ? Money is for spending while living. It has no value after life
