Bingo. Have Google, Facebook, Twitter, or any of the social media platforms been held accountable to 1st amendment protections for our citizens, when it is obvious to any teenager that these platforms are acting as the 21st century's public digital square? The only person on these threads who can't see that is Brumar. All reasonable people and all children see it for what it is. But these social media giants are targeting and destroying our 1st amendment rights and pushing their vitriolic hyper-liberal agenda, while censoring anything remotely conservative. They have already sold the American people on how Socialism is so great and Capitalism is terrible, despite all historical evidence to the contrary. These companies are EVIL. I side with all Democrats and Republicans who think it is time to bring the tech companies to heel and force them to respect 1st amendment rights, as well as regulate them to ensure they don't engage in censorship.
And btw, it's not just 1st amendment rights, it's also what social media is doing to the millennials and Gen Z. It is destroying them mentally. They are more anxiety ridden, less confident, have much less social skills in person, have become Godless, have fewer social support networks with real people, much more prone to suicide than Gen X and older people, and a host of other mental ailments. I'm telling you social media is evil in its current incarnation, even as I sit here and post this on social media. |
