The conference call this afternoon might be a good place to ask this question. Yesterday a Business Wire press release stated:

Semiconductor Laser International Corp. (SLI)(NASDAQ:SLIC, SLICW) will be hosting an open conference call on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998 at 4:00 p.m. EST, for interested parties. The call number is 1-800-305-7530.

After dialing the number above you will hear a dial tone, at that point enter the code "045991". You will next hear either low volume music or nothing at all until the conference begins sharply at the close of the market.
