The last small stock I shorted was Scott's Liquid Gold. I sold it at 4.00 and covered at 3.50. It is a marginable stock. I use Datek Online. Different brokers have different margin requirements for stocks, but in general, you are probably right about a stock having to be marginable to be shorted. My fave short right now is KNIC. Look at it's chart if you get a chance. Happy trading. ~~~~ Eric
