China keeps talking about their "list of unreliable suppliers" but they have yet to come up with the name of even a single company that will be on the list.

Google is trying to convince the current admin to grant them a license to continue providing Android operating system updates to Huawei to maintain security of the global Android environment and avoid providing Huawei an incentive to put resources into developing an alternate phone operating system.

In turn, Google will insist on being able to make further inroads into China's new closed-censored internet network.

There will be these sort of 'deals' but China is not ready to do a 'trade deal' with the US.

Trump's threat of even larger tariffs if Xi doesn't meet him is fine, but over-reliance on rapidly increasing tariffs is self-harming to the US economy, so Trump will have to be diverted to more "listed entities" work.
