There’s 0 rationale to fund the terrorists that are killing our soldiers and civilians.
Of course you think so, but the liberals put together a case arguing that a deal with Iran would empower their moderates and encourage them to drop their religious extremism.

Obama in particular was very motivated to get this deal done, more so than even his signature accomplishment, ObamaCare. Obama himself was involved in a lot of the details of his Iran deal, which was uncharacteristic of him. Indeed, in most of his other endeavors, he let his subordinates hammer out most of the details while he went out golfing.

In a way, he saw this Iran deal as the key to his legacy. He truly thought that this deal would be a major step in finally bringing peace to the Middle East, something on the order of Reagan's legacy when it came to ending the Cold War.

Of course, that didn't happen because of that damned Trump barging in and ruining everything he built.
