If I remember correctly, tankers command higher day rates during political unrest. It may happen only on certain routes. Sorta like hazardous duty pay. Who wants to lose or insure a tanker at normal rates?

I have traded in and out of NAT since they owned three tankers. Currently I hold an overweight position due to averaging down.
