Wow, the head of the FEC is straight lying about well-established election law. I thought she would try to finesse it, but no.

It is 100% legal to solicit, accept, or receive information from a foreign national in connection with a U.S. election. It is 100% illegal to offer anything in return, including money or favors.

Had Donald Jr received dirt on Hillary, it would have been legal. Hillary's payment to foreigners for dirt on Trump is a felony. Hiding that felony through a series of cutouts (DNC ---> Perkins Coie ---> Steele & supposedly Russians) is a series of additional felonies (money-laundering).
