An "integrated function" is the ultimate use to which an integrated product is intended to be put to.

A tied product is a product that must be purchased as a condition of purchasing the product to which it is tied.

A bundled product is a set of products that are purchased together usually at the same time and at a discount as opposed to purchasing the pieces separately.

A tied product can be a bundled product but it's not a neccessity.

I put these definitions out as my own. I welcome any clarification and edification that you or anyone else on this thread can contribute.

There is no cost. Actually there is a net gain. The effect is to reduce the price of the 'puter and accelerate access to the "information superhighway". Which inturn will increase our productivity and wealth. Which is a net plus.
