I'm particularly grateful to those of you who have had to sacrifice their vacation to attend this meeting, but as you are aware, we have had a number of extremely serious incidents over the holiday period, and it is essential that we track down the root cause as soon as possible to ensure that similar problems never arise again.

TS-T: Thank you. Because the application was written in 176 it was extremely difficult to track down the ownership of the offending code. Records eventually revealed that a Mr. Schiester was the original project manager. Mr. Schiester unfortunately no longer works for the organisation. In fact he had been made redundant in 1986. We were however able to trace him through the telephone directory, but when we contacted him he was very abusive. He told us, in no uncertain manner that he neither knew, nor cared where the development documentation was, but that it had added to the joy of his holiday to know that something he might had gone had caused us some distress. He did however reveal, just before he slammed the phone down, that the security guard, a Mr. Tom Cooper, might know something.
