Since the oceans are warming I imagine that the rate of evaporation of sea water into the air is also increasing. When combined with the warm air's ability to hold more water the effect would be multiplied.

I have lived in Central Kentucky since 1995 and even that the incredibly short period of time (in geological terms) the climate has degraded a lot, making it much wetter in the summer with much more flash flooding from big storms.
