There were some good posts on the "woodshed"...maybe big buyers/institutional funds etc recognizing breakout and jumping in.

The world is awash in debt...massive debt. And governments don't appear to have any attention of even addressing it. When's the last time a candidate ran on a "balance the budget platform." Latest idea amongst the left wing in this country is to have the Fed actually print money...there are some economists now touting that idea. (Some would say the Fed already does but technically we aren't there yet.) The bond market is huge in terms of capitalization..enormous amounts of money out there dependent on rates, national solvency, etc. These deep, background moves drive gold and the indices a lot more, I think. The gold boom 2004 -2010...more or less...imo had a lot to do with a declining dollar and commodities boom. This time around I think we are looking at deeper issues like debt, currencies turning to trash, etc. It's these things afoot that are going to make da chief's very far sighted predictions true, I believe!

(thinking out loud here..my apologies)
