Stephen, Thanks for your inputs. Here is what I have determined. 1. For now the problem is gone. 2. The old failed wireless mouse was still powered up. 3. The old mouse moved the cursor without oscillation when I tried to use it. (It moves the cursor, it does not click). 4. I totally deactivated the old wireless mouse - turned off and removed the Blue Tooth interface plug in. Without the apparent interference from the old wireless mouse, the problem for now is gone. Minor victories are always fun. Bob
