I won't mind if Netflix shows ads if they adopt the Hulu model and have a lower priced service with ads and the current tier without them.

I think there will be a huge backlash if they try to force people to watch ads who don't currently see any at the regular Netflix monthly price.

Allowing ads for a lower priced tier would help subscription totals and substantially increase revenues. It may also keep Netflix from raising rates as well, and I'm all for that.
