Malaysia Airlines today announced a new, faster and less costly route to Europe by flying through the less congested airspace over Iran

Also today, Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad announced a new deal to sell palm oil to Iran.

This follows on the heels of Russian officials offering to increase palm oil purchases in return for a military deal with Malaysia.
