Well, think back to what the American settlers, and probably your own ancestors, were prepared to do back in 1775 to 1783 to rid themselves from the yolk of British Rule and eventually win their War of Independence.

Many died in that conflict but one assumes that the prize of their Independence was worth it.

In 1940 the French were overrun and occupied by the German Army. But that didn't stop hundreds of French men and women to join the French Resistance and work towards the united effort of liberating their country from occupation.

More often than not it's a Tyrannical Few who keep the Majority from living within their own country the way that they wish to live.

At the present time we see literally hundreds of thousands of citizens of Hong Kong rising up and protesting against a Chinese installed head of the governing body who is imposing unacceptable rules and regulations. Those individuals are not scurrying over a border with their "tails between their legs". They have decided to mobilize and to make their presence felt and their collective voices heard.

If the Venezuelans or the Iranians no longer want to be subjugated to the rule of tyrants, or similar, then they need to make some serious decisions and sacrifices as others have done in the past, and that may cost some of them their lives.
