[Siemens and COMS]

robt --

Do you have any way to find out if these products are based on TI's chips? I know Siemens has been working with them on similar products but since there's no mention here, I'm uncertain if they're the same.

<<< MUNICH, Jan 21 (Reuters) - Siemens AG and 3Com Corp
said on Wednesday that in March they would begin offering jointly developed networking products that combine telephone and internet communications.

The products would enable phone companies to offer Internet access over their existing networks without expanding their network infrastructure, the companies said in a statement.

Siemens said the products would add 300 million marks in sales to its public communications group by the year 2000.

3Com would also offer a product that was developed with Siemens and allows remote access to data stored on corporate networks or the Internet.

Siemens was also working on Internet "call waiting" technology for its EWSD telecommunications switches. This would make it possible for a home computer user, while accessing the internet over a phone line, to receive an on-screen message that a phone call was waiting.>>>
