IntelliFlash Storage Snapshot Plug-in for Veeam further extends data protection and management in virtualized and hybrid-cloud environments

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Western Digital ( WDC) today announced support for Veeam® Universal Storage API on its family of IntelliFlash all-flash arrays. The release of the IntelliFlash Storage Snapshot Plug-in for Veeam enables customers to take full advantage of the advanced capabilities of Veeam Availability Suite™, ultimately providing customers with flexibility, scalability and increased backup and recovery performance for today’s modern data center environments.

The IntelliFlash family, which includes the NVMe™ N-Series all-flash array, is Western Digital’s latest addition to its broad portfolio of data center systems to achieve tight Veeam integration. Other Veeam supported solutions include the ActiveScale™ Cloud Object Storage System, which supports Veeam Cloud Tiervia its S3-compatible interface, as well as the Ultrastar® Data60 and Data102JBOD/JBOF storage platforms that help customers expand existing capacities or build tailored HDD and SSD combinations to balance performance and reduce costs.
