Mz. Liz,

Certainly every view is accepted and respected and some of us (me included) need a bucket of water thrown on our enthusiasm. Here is why I think that semis are a good buy (particularly IDTI) and please feel free to shred my reasons.

The whole industry is vastly oversold partially because of less than projected growth in the corporate PC market and partially because every time it looks like the worst is over and it's recovering, some tag-teaming analyst slams eight or nine semi companies.

It is a fact that huge amounts liquidity are pouring into the mutual fund market every month and the big board stocks are highly overpriced. I think bargain shoppers are bound to notice that companies in the semi sector have had each piece of bad news folded into the stock price several times and are relatively good buys.

Among these companies, IDTI has a high quality diversified product line, good debt position, and a good history of investing in R/D.

They will probably get slammed in the short term (more buying ops)
but I think there a good 9 month to 1 1/2 yr. bet.
Just my thoughts, sorry for the verbosity.

Regards,

Richard
P.S. Insider's Chronicle lists semis as the second highest industry in terms of insider buying.
