John, You could not compare the benchmark ratings from either Tom or Anand with those from the brand names on Computer Shopper. The reason is simple that these brand names do not use the extra-fast video cards with latest drivers used by Tom or Anand. We should email Tom and ask him to run Winstone97 along with Winstone98 to offer valid comparisons with his old records.
