(1) first time I saw that article
did not pull punches
did not find much to disagree with
but probably needs to be balanced by factors unmentioned, that
(2) on the one hand I find ...
merits in team usa education system, giving all a chance even as it seems not immune to machination, even as much of the system is dysfunctional for reasons other than resources / methods
laudable market mechanisms / gear works / underpinnings / etc etc even as the red tape at times a serious wrench
admirable press freedom albeit much of it of questionable quality / veracity
(3) on the other hand I figure ...
near-impossibly difficult team china education system no matter how one works at it and thus cutting out a lot of otherwise talented, I suspect
not a lot of actual red tape, but no real markets unless one considers a casino a market
lots of press, and lots of self-censorship and dictate censorship
(4) the fixes ...
the education systems are fixed on each side of the pond by the usual ways, special schools, so that enough but not all folks are served well
the markets are the way they are, as people are basically the same, to take advantage of whatever in place
no answer on press, for there is little difference between fake news, alt-news, etc, and it is up to each of us to discern the truth from amongst the presented spins, alt-, and fakes-
(5) the article is very correct, I believe, with respect to <<But Xi won’t agree to change China’s economic system. Why should he?>>, for the system worked well, and that is why team usa is a bit more than concerned.
In the mean time team HK awaits flood of capital, people, and ideas to come our way, as we have at ready ...
the education system that features the ideas of team Europe, America, China, and and and
the market mechanisms okay for expansion
and a free press
all protected by 2M enthusiastic and disciplined street demonstrators
